More about Kim...
Kim got the bug for dance at a very early age, as she would play her older siblings' 45 records in the early 80s, creating worlds of wonder by letting the music move her. At the age of six, her mother enrolled her in Ballet and Tap classes, and she was home. Adding Jazz to the mix, Kim began to truly express herself through dance to the pop and rock music of the 80s.
These days, Kim fuses all she learned in her youth with her newer love of Belly Dance.
Kim discovered her love for Belly Dance in the early 90s by seeing a Tribal Fusion dancer in San Francisco. Nearly 10 years later, Kim enrolled in her first Belly Dance class, and was hooked! She enjoys learning any and all she can about the art form, it's history, and fusions.
If you could bottle her passion it would be quite an intoxicating elixir!
Kim teaches currently in Charlotte, NC and surrounding areas.
Before moving to back home to NC, Kim performed and taught in Philadelphia, Austin, TX and all over The Carolinas. She has been part of many troupes and collaborations, as well as been a dance member of various musical acts. Becoming Suhaila Salimpour Level 1 Certified in 201., Kim takes her dance to a level of artistic awareness that she is always working on expanding and growing not only as a dancer, but as a person.
